The Vultures have dominated Brazilian and South American football in recent years. With Jorge Zhezos, they won both the “gold” Brasileirao and Copa Libertadores in 2019. In the next Serie A draw, they managed to retain the championship title. But this season the club looks much less convincing, and for a long time dangled almost in the middle of the tournament table. All this, as expected, ended with a coaching castling in July. The new mentor, Renato Gausu, is doing well so far. He passed both Defens and Justizia in Copa Libertadores (by the way, this week to open a new round with Olimpia Asuncion – are we waiting for changes in the squad?), And in the championship he gave a series of 4 victories in a row, raising his new wards in the top 5 of the current tables.
